We are pleased to announce the official release of MonCargo Connect, an optional feature of MonCargo that centralizes communication and document management for international trade and logistics on a per-shipment basis, effective January 20, 2026.

To mark the official launch of MonCargo Connect, a trial period will be available until the end of March 2026.

MonCargo Connect is a new optional feature that extends MonCargo’s existing tracking capabilities by enabling centralized management of communications, files, and comment histories—both internally and externally—on a per-shipment basis.

By consolidating fragmented communications, responses, and document management into a single interface, MonCargo Connect helps reduce reliance on individual workflows, minimizes information-sharing overhead, and improves overall visibility and operational efficiency across logistics teams.

What is MonCargo Connect?

MonCargo Connect provides a secure environment for sharing and managing operational information related to each shipment, both internally and with external stakeholders, through the following features:

  • Guest User Invitations

You can invite external stakeholders—such as cargo owners and logistics providers—as guest users.
There is no limit on the number of guest users, allowing you to collaborate with all relevant parties without additional cost.

  • Comments and Mentions

Leave comments on individual shipments and notify specific stakeholders using mentions.
You can also filter comments to view only unread messages addressed to you, making it easier to focus on what requires your attention.

  • File Management and Sharing

Manage and share documents such as invoices and Bills of Lading (B/L) by linking them directly to shipment records.
Sharing permissions can be controlled to ensure that documents are securely shared only with the appropriate parties.

Background of MonCargo Connect

MonCargo has supported improvements in international trade and logistics operations by providing a SaaS platform that automatically visualizes and notifies users of vessel movements, ETD, and ETA for each shipment—centralizing tracking information across multiple shipping lines. In practice, shipment tracking information often needs to be shared with multiple stakeholders.
To support this, MonCargo has offered URL-based sharing, allowing users to easily share tracking information externally.

However, as the number of shipments managed within MonCargo increased, we increasingly heard requests such as “we want to share multiple shipments together” and “we want to centrally manage not only tracking data, but also related communications and documents.” Especially for users handling a high volume of shipments, tracking data alone was not sufficient. Emails, phone calls, and spreadsheets continued to be used in parallel, resulting in duplicated management efforts and ongoing overhead for confirmation and coordination.

MonCargo Connect was designed to address this fragmentation of information. By enabling shipment-based centralized management of communications and documents alongside existing tracking data, MonCargo Connect streamlines day-to-day trade operations and reduces operational complexity.
