Feature Update: More Flexible Permission Management Tailored for Trade and Logistics Operations

Thank you for using MonCargo.
We’re pleased to announce an update to our user permission management feature.

Until now, MonCargo offered two permission levels: Admin and Read-only.
With this release, users on the Premium plan and above can now assign two additional roles: Manager and Operator. This allows for more flexible team structures and better alignment with individual responsibilities.

More Flexible Access Control for Diverse Team Structures

With this update, you can assign permissions based on each team member’s role and responsibilities.
Whether someone oversees the entire organization, manages a specific team, handles operational tasks, or simply needs viewing access, MonCargo now supports a more fine-grained approach to permission control.

You can view detailed permission scopes and how to configure them directly in the MonCargo admin console from here

To change a member’s role, go to Admin Console > "Company & Members", and set permissions individually for each team member.

Background of This Update

Many users have shared that having only “Admin” and “Read-only” roles wasn’t sufficient to match the practical workflows in the field.
In organizations with multiple departments or teams — including large enterprises — we often heard concerns like, “View-only isn’t enough, but granting full admin rights feels excessive.”

This update addresses that gap by introducing roles such as Manager, who can oversee team progress, and Operator, who can handle day-to-day shipment tasks.
These new roles help strike a balance between information control and operational efficiency.
