Detailed settings for email notifications are now available.

We are pleased to announce the release of a new feature that allows users to configure MonCargo's email notifications in more detail. Emails are sent when there is a change in the container being tracked, such as port, vessel name, or arrival/departure time, but now you can select a range of time when there is a change in arrival/departure time.

MonCargo will continue to make improvements to make container tracking management more efficient.

E-mail notification settings

By allowing detailed customization of email notifications, you can now receive notifications at your preferred timing when there are changes to the Estimated Time of Departure (ETD), Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), or Final ETA (Place of Delivery ETA) of containers currently being tracked.

Previously, email notifications were sent for any slight changes. However, with this update, you can now select the timing of email notifications based on the duration of changes in departure and arrival times, such as changes occurring every 3 hours, 12 hours, or 24 hours.

*Note: Even with time-based changes, notifications will continue for changes in port, vessel name, ETD to ATD, ETA to ATA, etc.

Development Background

MonCargo streamlines operations by notifying via email when there are changes to container information being tracked, thus eliminating the need to manually check for updates and leading to increased efficiency. However, we also received feedback regarding excessive email notifications due to frequent changes in container information.

Furthermore, upon inquiring about the frequency of email notifications, it became apparent that users have varying preferences for notification timing, such as wanting to be notified for any slight changes, changes occurring approximately every half-day, or changes occurring every 2 to 3 days.

By offering detailed time-based customization, we aim to provide email notifications tailored to each user's specific operational needs.

With this release, we believe optimizing email notifications from MonCargo will help reduce the risk of missing important information and alleviate the burden of email management.
